Skyrim what makes leather
Netch leather is primarily used to craft two types of armor in Skyrim : chitin armor and bonemold armor. While bonemold and chitin armor aren't powerful in comparison to other types of armor that are obtained further down the line, such as Deathbrand's Armor , also found throughout Solstheim, they are both formidable sets for earlier player builds.
Chitin armor requires a smithing level of 30 in Skyrim and the Elven Smithing perk in order to craft. Bonemold armor, on the other hand, only requires a smithing level of 15 and the Steel Smithing perk to craft it. If players are specifically seeking out the bonemold armor, it can be looted from Reavers in Solstheim and Redoran Guards. Comment by WISEBEAST Also, if you find youself in dwarven ruins, collect only the bent dwemer scrap metal, and the large and small dwemer plate metal, leave the solid dwemer metal, large decorative dwemer strut, and the large dwemer strut alone as they weigh too much for the amount of ingots you get, and the plain old dwemer scrap metal isn't smeltable, so leave those be as well.
Thanks Oct. Comment by setzaroth Iron daggers work very well also Oct. This is not specific to leather, however; any stolen material that is crafted loses its stolen status. Elder Scrolls Explore.
